First released on September 6, 2014, the Air Jordan 14 Retro Challenge Red was inspired by the Ferrari 550 Maranello and celebrated Michael Jordan's love of luxury sports cars. The shoe is constructed from a suede material with a predominantly red color scheme, with contrasting black on the tongue and outsole, and yellow highlights similar to Ferrari's colors, especially the Jumpman logo on the outer ankle, which is shaped like the shield on the prancing horse logo. There is also another Jumpman logo on the heel, with a large number 23 below it - both in yellow.
